Most software shows your life as a feed: a stack with the newest thing on top and everything else sinking. A feed can tell you what is recent. It cannot show you how far apart two moments were, or what a season of your life looked like.
Kairoscope is a different shape. A line instead of a stack. Anything you set down lands on the present moment and moves into the past with everything else, holding its place. Distance on the line is distance in your life.
So the instrument becomes a place to put things. Drop a note or a photo onto the dot as it happens, or reach back and set one on the line where it belongs. Mark what recurs, birthdays and holidays, and watch them approach from the future, pass through the present, and repeat down the years like rings in a tree.
And, if you choose, let the line fill itself: sync with your photos so they land on the line when they were taken, calendar events waiting up ahead. All of that is optional.
Empty, it is still a clock. What it carries is up to you.
